👋 Introduction

Telerik Code Converter Extension is an independent Visual Studio integration designed to convert source code seamlessly between C# and VB.NET directly inside your integrated development environment. By communicating with the public Telerik Code Converter web service, this extension allows you to transform code blocks, selections, or entire files without context-switching or leaving your active code editor.

Important

This project is a non-commercial, third-party client tool. It is not affiliated with, authorized, or sponsored by Progress Telerik.

💡 Motivation

While the official web-based converter works great for occasional snippets, constantly switching to a web browser, pasting code, selecting languages, and copying the results back to your IDE becomes tedious during heavy migration tasks.

This extension was built to streamline that workflow. By integrating the service directly into the Visual Studio context menu, it automates the request-response lifecycle, allowing you to instantly convert and replace code with a single click right where you are working.

⚡ The Real Question
Why disrupt your development flow by constantly bouncing between your IDE and a web browser just to convert single blocks of code?.
