About Asveora

Asveora is a decentralized digital network framework built around user sovereignty, federated identity, and distributed governance. It enables independent network instances to operate together while preserving autonomy, interoperability, and user ownership of data and identity. Users remain in control of their identities, content, and digital presence across all participating systems. Asveora defines the shared standards that allow these independent instances to recognize, exchange, and synchronize identity information safely and consistently.

The network is organized as a federated ecosystem rather than a centralized platform, where governance is distributed across participating instances and their communities. Each instance may define its own rules and policies while remaining compatible with the broader Asveora network. At its core, Asveora provides the foundational infrastructure for identity creation, migration, federation, and lifecycle management across decentralized systems. These standards ensure that identities remain portable, verifiable, and consistent across the ecosystem. The RFC series defines the canonical technical and operational specifications that make interoperability between instances possible. Together, these specifications form a shared foundation for building sovereign, interoperable, and community-governed digital networks.

About the Licenses

This repository is dual-licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3) and the Asveora Commercial License Agreement (ACLA).

You may use, modify, and distribute this project under the terms of the GPLv3, or, if you are using this software in a commercial, closed-source, or non-GPL-compatible context, you may instead operate under the terms of the ACLA, subject to its separate conditions.

By using this software, you agree that your usage must comply with at least one of the applicable licenses, depending on how the software is used or distributed.

Asveora RFC Repository

This repository contains the canonical RFC (Request for Comments) specification system for the Asveora framework.

It defines the structural, semantic, and relational model for Asveora’s identity system, registry behavior, federation model, governance constraints, and API boundary definitions.

The purpose of this repository is to provide a human-readable and structurally consistent reference for how the Asveora system is defined and intended to be implemented.


What This Repository Is

This repository is:

  • A formal specification of the Asveora system architecture
  • A structured RFC system describing core concepts, rules, and relationships
  • A reference model for identity, registry, federation, and governance behavior
  • A documentation-first framework intended for human interpretation and implementation guidance

It is NOT:

  • A runtime system
  • An executable application
  • A live API implementation
  • A deployed infrastructure layer

Core System Areas

The RFC system describes the following conceptual domains:

  • Identity Model (CIR and related identity constructs)
  • Registry State and lifecycle representation
  • Federation synchronization and distribution behavior
  • Authorization and access-control structure
  • Governance rules and operational constraints
  • API boundary definitions for external interaction

Each domain is defined in terms of structural rules, dependencies, and relationships rather than implementation code.


Design Philosophy

Asveora RFCs are designed around the principle that:

Structure defines correctness before execution defines behavior.

This means:

  • Rules and constraints are explicitly defined before implementation
  • System relationships are deterministic and dependency-aware
  • Runtime behavior is assumed to conform to these specifications, not define them

Schema and Structure Layer

This repository includes formal schema definitions that describe:

  • Data structures
  • Validation constraints
  • Cross-component dependencies
  • Lifecycle state models

These schemas are intended as structural contracts for downstream implementation systems.

They do not themselves execute or enforce behavior.


Provenance & Contribution Notes

The contents of this repository were developed through a human-led system design process focused on defining the Asveora architecture.

During the drafting and refinement of these materials, AI tools were used as an auxiliary support mechanism for:

  • clarifying technical language and documentation structure
  • assisting with consistency across layered specifications
  • helping organize schema relationships and documentation flow

All architectural decisions, system constraints, and conceptual definitions were determined and validated through human direction. AI tools were used strictly as writing and structuring aids and did not independently define system behavior or system intent.

This repository represents a specification layer only and is intended for human understanding, review, and implementation guidance.

Versioning

This is the v1 canonical RFC baseline for Asveora.

Future changes to this repository MUST preserve:

  • structural consistency across RFC layers
  • schema compatibility rules
  • deterministic dependency relationships

Summary

Asveora RFC defines the structural blueprint of a distributed identity and governance system.

It is a specification of what the system is, not a running system itself.
