Magnifier: Cannot see edge of screen in "Border" or "Relative" tracking without "True center tracking"

Brief summary

In NVDA 2026.2 (Beta 7), when tracking mode is set to border or relative, the view never moves to show the edge of the screen unless true center tracking is enabled.

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable NVDA's magnifier.
2. In NVDA's magnifier settings, set the tracking mode to "Border" and disable true centre tracking.
3. Move the mouse to the edges of the screen.
4. Set the tracking mode to "relative" (leaving true center tracking unchecked)
5. Again try moving the mouse to the edges of the screen.
6. Enable true center tracking in relative tracking mode.
7. Move the mouse to the edges of the screen
8. Change the tracking mode to border
9. Again move the mouse to the edges of the screen.

Actual behavior

3. and 5. With true center tracking disabled in border or relative tracking, the view stops before reaching the edge of the view. The view seems more restricted in border tracking, though I can't tell exactly why it stops where it does in either case?

4. With true center tracking enabled in relative tracking, the view follows the mouse to the edges of the screen.

5. With true center tracking enabled in border tracking, the view is able to move to the edges of the screen, with about 5% extra shown "past" the edge in black.

(Tracking seems to work as expected with or without true center tracking when the tracking mode is set to center).

Expected behavior

I would probably expect:
3. and 5. With true center tracking disabled in border or relative tracking, the view should just follow the mouse to the edge of the screen.

Less important: I like the way the view shows a little past the screen in border mode with true center tracking, and I'd probably just do the same for relative view?

Other information about your system

I do have Windows set to scale at 225% on a 32" monitor, and I first thought the scaling MAY play a part here - but I just dropped to 100% scaling and it behaves exactly the same.

Does the issue still occur after restarting your computer?

I have restarted my computer and the issue still occurs

If NVDA add-ons are disabled, is your problem still occurring?

I do not have any NVDA add-ons installed

Does the issue still occur after you run the System Accessibility Repair Tool (COM Registration Fixing Tool in older versions) in NVDA's tools menu?

I have also restarted the PC at 100% scale just to confirm that it wasn't an artefact of having changed the scale but not yet restarted. This behaved exactly the same (so still presented with the issue).
