Before doing so, we need to audit history for any secrets, etc... Also, add documentation on publicly contributing and possibly a bit more information on inner workings, motivation, etc....

A to-do list of prereqs:

• excise from commit history any keys, passwords, and other items that appear to be security-related, even if they are no longer providing practical security
• working auth is in place for all destructive write/update/delete endpoints
• documentation updated to conform to the standard protocols for deis public repos
