How can I edit what happens when the user swipes in the other direction?

For example, I have the drawer open right-to-left, but I would like swiping from left-to-right to return to the previous screen. How can I incorporate both? It isn't as easy as I initially expected it to be. The GestureDetector appears to be preventing SwipeablePageRoute from working, so I need another solution.
